Summer Concerts

The City of Pickering proudly presents the 2026 Summer Concert Series. 

Join the City of Pickering on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting in July for the annual Summer Concert Series. Bring your lawn chairs and best dance moves to any of our three locations and dance to a variety of live music all summer long.

  • Thursdays at Millennium Square: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Fridays at Rick Johnson Memorial Park: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
  • Sundays at Esplanade Park: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Applications for 2026 Summer Concert Series is now closed.

For Bands

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Summer Concert Series. The 2026 application are now available, and must received by Sunday April 12, 2026.  

Completion of this application does not guarantee a performance date. Successful applicants will be contacted by City of Pickering staff to confirm a performance date. 

Please note:  

  • The City of Pickering does not supply any technical or sound equipment for the Summer Concert Series’ bands. Selected bands are responsible for supplying their own technical or sound equipment at their own expense. Connection to hydro is available on-site. 

  • The policy regarding “Cancellations / Rescheduled Performances” in the Summer Concert Series is firm. If you have any questions about this application, please contact Community Services at 905.420.4620 or by email at communityservices@pickering.ca  

Selection in the Summer Concert Series is highly competitive. When evaluating the applications, the Selection Committee will consider the following:  

  • The “fit” with audience 

  • Quality of performance samples 

  • Availability of budget 

  • Scheduling availability 

The City of Pickering does not provide deposits for bands or entertainment providers in the Summer Concert Series. Full payment is provided by cheque on the performance date unless the concert is cancelled or rescheduled. Please refer to “Cancellations / Rescheduled Performances” for more.   

There is a limited budget per band. Performance fees should account for the distance travelled, the size of band, and years of experience. 

Photos and video may be recorded at this event by designated City photographers & videographers. These materials may be used in future City of Pickering education, advertising, and other internal/external promotions, without compensation.

For the safety of all attendees, we encourage any dogs that do not do well with people, crowds, loud noises, or other dogs to be left at home.

Please note, all dogs entering any City event must comply with the Responsible Pet Ownership By-law (6811/07) and the Dog Owners Liability Act.

Dogs that have characteristics similar to a Pit Bull (under the act) must wear a muzzle.
