Now Exhibiting: Forever (Bird-Botanicals) by David Constantino Salazar
May 11, 2026 – June 28, 2026
David Constantino Salazar’s Forever (Birds-Botanicals) is a site-specific installation that explores the theme of transformation within contemporary culture through the symbolic interplay of birds and botanicals.
Salazar explores transformation through bronze, terracotta, and raw clay. At the center, bronze branches and three unfinished beavers emphasize process and material change. Surrounding rings of fired and unfired clay evolve over time, inviting viewers to witness growth, decay, and the continual emergence of form. Originally created with support received by the artist from the Canada Council for the Arts, the exhibition is presented by the City of Pickering.
