Now Exhibiting: Forever (Bird-Botanicals) by David Constantino Salazar
May 11, 2026 – June 28, 2026

David Constantino Salazar’s Forever (Birds-Botanicals) is a site-specific installation that explores transformation through the material relationships between birds, botanicals, and animal forms.

Working across bronze, terracotta, and raw clay, Salazar foregrounds process as both method and subject. At the center, bronze sticks and three beavers retain visible traces of casting, emphasizing material as active and continually shifting rather than fixed. Surrounding rings of fired and unfired clay evolve over time, as surfaces dry, crack, and change throughout the exhibition.

Originally created with support received by the artist from the Canada Council for the Arts, the exhibition is presented by the City of Pickering.
