Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex has 4 indoor Tennis courts. Courts are open 7 days a week, during all operating hours.
Equipment is available to borrow free of charge (with deposit).

About Our Tennis Pro: Dave Ochotta has played on the San Diego State University tennis team, competed in the Italian Grand Prix and celebrated a quarter final finish in the Malta International Open.
Dave is a Level III Tennis Canada certified coach with many years of experience. He operates daytime and evening leagues, ladders and tournaments for our tennis members.

Tennis Lessons
Private, semi-private, and small group lessons are offered by our Head Tennis Professional, Dave Ochotta, and his Assistant Professionals.

Adult Tennis Classes 18+ |
These classes will teach the fundamentals of forehand, serve, backhand, and volley. Class size will be limited to a small group of 4 - 6 students per instructor.
Classes are 5 weeks in length.

Participants will learn the basics of forehand, backhand, serve, and volley. More advanced techniques and strategies may be covered if time permits. This program allows for the playing of games and the establishment of a "network" of tennis friends.

Tennis Membership

CHD Rec Complex offers 3 types of memberships.
- Basic Tennis Membership: Includes health club facilities at the Complex, swimming, and a 50% reduction off tennis court fees.
- Tennis Plus: Includes fitness classes, health club facilities at the Complex, swimming, and a 50% reduction off tennis court fees.
- Golden Membership: Includes prepaid racquetball, squash, and tennis court fees, group fitness classes, health club facilities at the complex, and & swimming.

Reminders for current tennis members:
- 1 court booking/use per day: If playing singles tennis with another member this counts as both you and your partner's booking for the day.
- Two hours of play is permitted for doubles only providing there are 4 players during both hours of use.
- Ball hopper machines are not allowed on the courts at any time except by permission of the head tennis professional.

Tennis Court Rules and Regulations
- Member/Non-Members may only book one (1) court per day, by use of Gametime (members), by telephone call or by booking in person. When members are playing singles with another member, this will be considered the allotted (1) court booking entitlement for each player for that day.
- Members may book seven days in advance. Non-members may book 24 hours in advance only
- Members who book courts shall state their name and membership type, plus the membership type of their partner. If a member is to play with a guest/pay-as-you-play patron, the full name of the partner is required. *Players on the courts must be identified in the respective court booking.
- Courts are booked by the hour, on the hour. Late start does not prolong court time.
- Two-hours of play is permitted for doubles only, providing there are 4 players during both hours of use. Members making reservations more than 24 hours in advance, must include a minimum of two (2) members for a two-hour booking.
- Single player reservations are not permitted.
- All court fees for members, guests/pay-as-you-play patrons are to be paid prior to entering the court area.
- Cancellation of courts must be made 24 hours in advance of your scheduled court time. Failure to do so may result in court fee charges.
- “No shows” for court bookings will be charged for the court. More than two “no shows” may result in a default of your membership.
- The City reserves the right to cancel or suspend the membership privileges of any member for breach of the rules listed herein and/or any unacceptable behavior exhibited.
- The City reserves the right to pre-empt court time or close change rooms for tournaments, exhibitions, City program functions or maintenance-related activities.
- No black or blue-soled running shoes are allowed on the courts.
- Full annual membership required to play in tennis leagues.
- No ball hopper machines are permitted on the courts.
- No personal training, coaching or instruction is allowed at any time.
- Non-members may not use courts for practise or ball hitting.
- Please do not use the perimeter of courts for warm-up or stretching as this can be distracting to other players. Please use one of our cardio rooms.
- Please be respectful of other members and staff at all times.
