July 2, 2025 – During last night’s Canada Day celebrations, the City of Pickering proudly announced that the highly-anticipated Pickering Heritage & Community Centre will be named the Dorsay Community & Heritage Centre, following a naming rights agreement.
June 23, 2025 - The City of Pickering welcomes a decision of the Divisional Court that fully supports how the City of Pickering and its Integrity Commissioner handled two significant code of conduct complaints involving Councillor Lisa Robinson.
June 16, 2025 – This past weekend, the City of Pickering proudly marked the transformative impact of its partnership with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) at the popular Ribfest event presented by Rotary Club of Pickering.
June 4, 2025 – To celebrate Pickering’s 25th anniversary of becoming a city, Mayor Kevin Ashe, Members of Council, and City staff gathered in Esplanade Park to plant a silver maple tree – one of 25 being planted across all three wards to mark this milestone.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones as they face this devastating loss, and the City stands ready to offer any support possible during this most difficult time.
May 9, 2025 - The City of Pickering is excited to announce that the 2024 restoration of the Pickering Museum Village log house and log barn has won the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award for Excellence in Conservation.
May 5, 2025 – The City of Pickering’s seasonal waterfront parking program is now in effect, and will run annually from May 1 to October 1. The program helps manage high visitor volumes and traffic congestion at popular waterfront destinations by balancing access for residents and visitors.
April 30, 2025 - The City of Pickering is excited to present Hip-Hop in the Park on Saturday May 3, at the Diana, Princess of Wales Park located behind the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex. This free, family-friendly event will be a celebration of music, dance, graffiti art, and community, featuring live performances, energetic dance battles, and a variety of interactive activities for all ages.
April 29, 2025 - Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain are expected across Pickering and the GTA Tuesday afternoon and evening.
April 28, 2025 – On behalf of the City of Pickering and its Members of Council, I extend heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney and the re-election of the Liberal Government.
