Arenas and Skating
At Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, we feature two indoor arenas offering public skating, skating lessons, and private ice rentals throughout the skating season.
Indoor Skating
Lace up your skates, Pickering! We will be offering FREE Public Skating, Daytime Skate, Child Skate, and Stick & Puck.
Daytime Skating: Sept. 2 to May 1
Parent & Tot / Stick & Puck: Sept. 5 to May 1
Public Skating: Sept. 23 to March 29
Please note that standard fees apply to Shinny Hockey.

Enjoy a relaxed skate during the day! Please note that hockey equipment is not permitted. For safety, a CSA-approved hockey helmet is required for children 5 years and under, and recommended for all ages.

Children under 6 years of age can enjoy some fun on the ice with a parent. Parents must accompany their child on the ice and wear skates. Admission: Free

Parents must accompany their children on the ice, wearing skates. Skating aids are permitted. Children are required to wear CSA approved hockey helmets with attached face mask. CSA approved hockey helmet is recommended for parents too.
Parent & Tot Stick & Puck
Parents must accompany their children on the ice, wearing skates. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity to practice and develop skating, stick-handling and passing skills in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere.
Children are required to wear CSA approved hockey helmets with attached face mask. CSA approved hockey helmet is recommended for parents too. Nets are provided and skating aids are not permitted on the ice.

Shinny Hockey (18+)
Looking for some casual hockey action? Our Shinny Hockey program is a pay-as-you-play, drop-in program for adult players.
Please note, you must be 18 years or older, full hockey equipment is required, including a CSA-approved helmet, and referees are not provided.
Shinny Hockey Starts September 3 and goes until March 20.
