Pickering, ON, July 9, 2026 – The City of Pickering is turning community input into action, with new outdoor fitness stations moving ahead in three neighbourhood parks following Pickering’s first-ever participatory budget process.
Pickering, ON, July 8, 2026 – The City of Pickering is inviting residents to help shape a new Online Service Portal that will make it easier to access City services, submit requests, and track the status and progress online through a personalized profile. The portal is part of Pickering’s continued focus on citizen-first service and good governance, giving residents more choice in how they connect with the City.
The roof is being replaced at Dunbarton Indoor Pool. The pool will be closed for the duration of the project. Construction is expected to be complete by August 23, 2026, subject to suitable weather and supply chain.
All public swim and swimming lessons continue at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex.

Take Notice that the Council of The Corporation of The City of Pickering passed Heritage Designation By-law 8275/26 on June 22, 2026 under Section IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18
The temporary road closure of Glenanna Road and the east sidewalk from the north limit of The Esplanade North to the entrance of the Health Services Centre, approximately 100 metres south of Kingston Road. In addition, the west sidewalk of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to The Esplanade South will remain closed. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.
Purpose: To facilitate the Installation of the Region of Durham’s watermain.
