Temporary road and west sidewalk closure of Glenanna Road from Pickering Parkway to the south limit of The Esplanade South. Both vehicle and pedestrian detours have been provided, and all applicable signage will be posted.

Duration: Tuesday, May 12, 2026 to Friday, June 5, 2026 

The closure has been extended due to the wet spring. The new playground will be opened for use after it has passed the required 3rd party safety inspection.

The rink and surrounding area will be temporarily closed at Claremont Memorial Park to allow for its removal and construction of a new playground.

Purpose:  Cancellation of swim programs and public swim at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex Pool for a swim meet.  

Duration: Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026, inclusive 

Purpose: Required for the reconstruction of Montgomery Park Road

The routine test of Alert Ready's emergency alerting system, originally scheduled for May 6, has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 1:55 pm.

The test message will be distributed over TV, radio, and compatible wireless devices.

Alert Ready is Canada’s emergency alerting system, and delivers critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians. Testing provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the system, and validate it works as intended in case of emergency.
