December 11, 2025 – The City of Pickering is updating its Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and invites residents to help shape the next phase of accessibility improvements across municipal services, programs, and facilities.

As part of this project, five Indigenous artists each contributed four unique designs, which have been laser-cut onto panels installed along the boardwalk. Each panel is accompanied by a description, written by the artist, sharing the story and cultural significance behind their work.
Anticipation is a permanent bronze sculpture of a nesting Canadian goose that commemorates local resident, Paul White, one of Pickering's longest serving presidents of a community association.
