The elevator at Don Beer Arena will be closed for maintenance beginning today, March 9, 2026 until Friday, March 20, 2026, inclusive.
The George Ashe Community Centre will be closed March 7, 2026 due to a water main break that resulted in the water being shut off. The George Ashe Community Centre will re-open Sunday, March 8, 2026.

The drop-in morning session for pickleball at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex is cancelled. Drop in pickleball will resume at 1pm on Monday March 9, 2026.

The City of Pickering is preparing for extreme cold and heavy snowfall this weekend. City crews will be clearing roads and sidewalks in priority sequence in accordance with established winter maintenance standards. We thank you for your patience and cooperation, and encourage caution if travel is necessary. Updates will be provided as conditions change.
The playground will be temporarily closed at the Bayshore Tot Lot for its reconstruction, including new play equipment and replacing of the existing engineered wood fiber safety surfacing. Duration: Friday, January 16, 2026 to Friday, May 1, 2026
