Program Cancellations and Service Disruptions

The closure has been extended due to the wet spring. The new playground will be opened for use after it has passed the required 3rd party safety inspection.

The rink and surrounding area will be temporarily closed at Claremont Memorial Park to allow for its removal and construction of a new playground.

Purpose: Playground Reconstruction

Duration: Friday, January 16, 2026 – Friday, May 15, 2026

Purpose:  Cancellation of swim programs and public swim at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex Pool for a swim meet.  

Duration: Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 2026, inclusive 

Purpose: Required for the reconstruction of Montgomery Park Road

Duration: Monday, May 11, 2026, to Thursday, October 1, 2026

Region of Durham Lane Closure: Brock Road RR1 from 230 m south of Rex Heath Drive to 107 m north of William Jackson Drive

Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex Parking Disruption 

Purpose:  To advise of parking disruptions during the month of May due to large scheduled events in the facility
