Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex is a Warming Centre
Purpose: Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex is a designated Warming Centre during cold weather warnings.
Duration: Monday, January 19, 2026 – Wednesday, January 21, 2026
While a cold weather warning is in effect, the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex will be a designated warming centre. Leashed pets are welcome provided they are well controlled by their owner.
This warning is expected to be in effect beginning today, Monday, January 19 and will continue until late morning on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
The playground will be temporarily closed at the Bayshore Tot Lot for its reconstruction, including new play equipment and replacing of the existing engineered wood fiber safety surfacing. Duration: Friday, January 16, 2026 to Friday, May 1, 2026

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning, in effect through this morning and into the afternoon. Snowfall accumulations of 20 to 30 cm are possible, which may result in reduced visibility, hazardous travel conditions, and utility outages. Strong, cold winds will add to the adverse weather conditions.
