The Town of Ajax is undertaking its Church Street Bridge Rehabilitation project, which may affect traffic flow and routes for residents in neighbouring communities, including Pickering. The Church Street Bridge (Bridge 18) over Duffins Creek, located 60 meters North of Highway 401, was constructed in 1960. The roadway bridge is now in need of maintenance and repair, as indicated by lifecycle and condition assessments.
Due to a series of scheduled events in the Banquet Hall, parking spaces may be limited on the above listed dates. Additional parking is available at the back of the building in the arena parking lot.
Seventh Concession Road will be temporarily closed, from Sideline 28 to Sideline 32, as well as North Road from Seventh Concession Road to Hwy. 7 to facilitate the replacement of Wilson Bridge, west of North Road.
Proposal
The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment Application is to permit a high density
residential development consisting of two buildings containing a total of four residential towers, each 35 storeys in height; a total of 1,429 dwelling units; and approximately 1,000 square metres of privately owned public space (POPS) located at the rear of the property, fronting Dixie Road.
Proposal
The applicant is proposing to erect a 15 metre high monopole cellular tower within a rail
corridor owned by the Canadian National Railway Company. Access to the tower and its
equipment will be provided through 1718 Altona Road.

TACC Construction on behalf of TACC Developments will be installing storm and sanitary sewers on Sideline 24 requiring a road crossing of Whitevale Road.
