Pickering, ON, May 29, 2026 – The City of Pickering will host a planned emergency preparedness exercise on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in partnership with the Region of Durham’s Emergency Social Services program. The exercise will test activation and operation of a municipal evacuation centre and coordinated support for evacuees during a simulated emergency.

Take Notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering passed By-law No. 8262/26 to adopt Amendment 54 to the Pickering Official Plan on May 20, 2026. Council approved the text amendment to the Pickering Official Plan set out in Amendment 54 and the passage of this By-law is the implementation of that approval.

Temporary Muti-Use Path Closure – West Side, Brock Road, between Dersan Street and Zents Drive

The City of Pickering has received an application for Consent. The City is required to process and review all complete applications under the Planning Act. An electronic Committee of Adjustment Hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 7:00 pm. Members of the public may participate electronically in the hearing to provide verbal comments to the Committee of Adjustment by registering as a delegation.
