June 23, 2025 - The City of Pickering welcomes a decision of the Divisional Court that fully supports how the City of Pickering and its Integrity Commissioner handled two significant code of conduct complaints involving Councillor Lisa Robinson.
June 16, 2025 – This past weekend, the City of Pickering proudly marked the transformative impact of its partnership with Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) at the popular Ribfest event presented by Rotary Club of Pickering.
Seventh Concession Road will be temporarily closed, from Sideline 28 to Sideline 32, as well as North Road from Seventh Concession Road to Hwy. 7 to facilitate the replacement of Wilson Bridge, west of North Road.

June 10, 2025: We’ve noticed some chatter about property tax increases in Pickering ranging from 10 to 16 percent. Understandably, that sounds alarming - but we’re here to set the record straight! In reality, the average total residential property tax increase for 2025 is approximately 5.26% for Pickering homeowners.
Proposal
The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment Application is to permit a high density
residential development consisting of two buildings containing a total of four residential towers, each 35 storeys in height; a total of 1,429 dwelling units; and approximately 1,000 square metres of privately owned public space (POPS) located at the rear of the property, fronting Dixie Road.
Proposal
The applicant is proposing to erect a 15 metre high monopole cellular tower within a rail
corridor owned by the Canadian National Railway Company. Access to the tower and its
equipment will be provided through 1718 Altona Road.
June 4, 2025 – To celebrate Pickering’s 25th anniversary of becoming a city, Mayor Kevin Ashe, Members of Council, and City staff gathered in Esplanade Park to plant a silver maple tree – one of 25 being planted across all three wards to mark this milestone.
May 30, 2025 – Yesterday, an innocent member of our community lost her life in a tragic and senseless act of violence. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones as they face this devastating loss, and the City stands ready to offer any support possible during this most difficult time.
